Warren Nichols

Warren L. “Nick” Nichols, 90, born September 9, 1918 in Maize, KS and went to be with his Sweet Jesus on January 12, 2009. He graduated from North High in 1939 and married the love of his life on September 30, 1940 in Los Angeles. He served in the U. S. Navy on Guam from 1944 to 1946 and worked at Boeing (Wichita) from 1951-1981. He was a 55 year member of Sunnyside Baptist where he was affectionately known as the “Gum Man.” Warren was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Grace Nichols and 5 sisters. Survivors include is wife of 68 years, Glennys (Knight) Nichols; children, Carol (Karl) Childs, Robby Nichols, Bonnie Grove; Grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Wise, Stephanie Williams, Zach (Joni) Nichols, Robin Nichols, Cody Grove; Great-grandchildren, Jessica, Daniel, Kali, Paige, T.J., Josiah, Gabriel, Elijah. Interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
